Don't Blink!

Maybe it's an audition tape for the next Dr Who Stone Angels story? Weirdly compelling though.

Re: Sky Atlantic HD had acquired Awake

I just caught the Sky Atlantic preview advert - why (oh why) do they have to put the ads on Freeview channels when it;s not showing on Freeview? *sob*

(He's looking very good, though.)

Re: No BAFTA TV nomination

It's in good company - no Sherlock in the drama series category either, and nothing for Bill Nighy in 'Page Eight'. I did wonder when they creamed off the Scottish productions for separate awards whether that meant they'd be ignored for the Nationals.

Oh dear, Hilary. If you expect dignity from a terrier you have the wrong breed! You have to make do with 'cute'.

Re: Sky Atlantic HD had acquired Awake

Confirmed by this week's Guardian (ironically on Friday 13th) : http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2012/ap ... sfeed=true

Kiss of death for the series in the UK. We just have to hope that the next series of Case Histories gets off the ground.

I was hoping for 5USA (Given that the BBC is only buying European Police procedurals these days). But I do have a Region 1 DVD player so all is not lost (does anyone know when the US DVD is due out?)

Re: Sky Atlantic HD had acquired Awake

Guess I'll just have to cross my fingers that there is a Region 2 DVD in due course (no way I'm giving any money to Murdock). Pretty much guarantees low viewing figures in the UK. Sky's main audience is 16-34 year old men - who pay to watch sport. They've been trying to woo the female audience with ...

Re: TV Ratings/Numbers

Still no news about foreign sales. I can hardly 'friend' a FB account if I'm not even being given a chance to see it. What on Earth is NBC's publicity and marketing department doing? Certainly not their jobs! I'm wondering whether a few enquiries from the UK might bear fruit. 13 episodes is an ideal...

Re: Episode 4: Kate Is Enough

The 'ukelele' clip was just played on Wittertainment - first chance we Brits have had to hear Jason's US accent (thankfully not as impenetrable as the one he used in Brotherhood). I echo Simon Mayo in wondering when we'll get it over here (too much to hope the BBC as enough money to buy it and we ge...

A good review in The Globe and Mail. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/arts/television/john-doyle/one-talent-show-one-smart-drama-two-kinds-of-great-tv/article2354427/ Rob Salem in The Toronto Star seems to be too concerned with the audience not being smart enough to follow it. http://www.toronto...

Re: Wittertainment today

I'm putting this on the 'Wittertainment' thread, but am wondering whether we shouldn't have a 'Hello Jason' theme.

Re: Wittertainment today

I have been trying to ignore the 'Hello to Jason Isaacs' madness - but today's Wittertainment really has hit the jackpot (and I suppose it may help the 'Awake' cause. I think two screencaps may cover this: http://i354.photobucket.com/albums/r428/lilandina/Blog%20images/wittertainment.jpg and http://...

Re: Replacing THE FIRM starting March 1st!

I'm hoping that this means the show will be up for sale to a UK broadcaster soon - with a chance we'll get it in the Autumn (probably on satelite TV since the BBC is only buying in European detective drama at the moment, and Channel 4 has yet to announce its purchases) - but this UK site looks hopef...

Re: Reviews

Hmmm. Sounds more and more like 'Life on Mars' the more I hear about it.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Still wonder whether any of the UK terrestrial channels will pick it up (my only chance of seeing it before the DVD is out).
