There were a lot of good shows, with excellent casts, made last year (I wondered at the time how the various awards systems would divvy them up). It's a pity that here isn't a 'best adapted screenplay' for TV.

Oh, I've no doubt that she (JKR) utterly despised Lucius. She never gave him any redeeming features at all. The closest he gets to redemption is backing out of the fight at the end to search for his son ... but that's just self-interest at work. He doesn't (or maybe doesn't get the chance to) do an...

In the books, the Dark Mark is a 'brand' rather than a tattoo - and none of the marked Death Eaters seem surprised that they didn't disappear after Voldemort's first 'death' - the convicted DEs in Azkaban still have them, and Snape's discussion with Karkaroff suggests that they had faded. Of course ...
