MISSING SCENES??

I remember reading that the BBC wouldn't re-air Curse of Steptoe because of misleading information. I would presume that the dvd is the edited version. Has anyone seen the original and edited version? Are there scenes cut out? I was just wondering if I should download a torrent :ninja of the origina...
