Thanks Hilary. Here's hoping all his hard work on R.E.M won't be in vain.
Looking forward to seeing Case Histories.
And pre-ordering it regardless of the cost.

I can't believe I didn't see this before! Thanks Hilary for sharing, and thanks to JI for writing
Re: E-mails from Jason
Thank you to Hilary for posting this latest missive from Jason.
And thanks as ever, to Jason for taking the time in his busy schedule to type away on his iPhone. Knowing how busy his life always is, looks like its even busier now with producing the pilot for REM.
Lovely to hear from him as always whenever he has a spare few moments, which are few and far between.
Thanks and all the best for your project.
Hooroo,
Carole

Thank you to Jason for the lovely letter. (Jackson Brodie was a fun read. AND, case-in-point, his character was sexier cuz you portrayed him. )

Re: E-mails from Jason
Have only just seen this! Oopsy. And I had my iPhone even though I was on holiday with no internet. Very bad me.
Thank you so much Hilary for posting this and, of course, to Jason for writing. Happy happy joy joy.
And my admiration for the man, you, whatever, has just increased yet again if you managed to write all that with impeccable grammar and punctuation on a friggin' iPhone!!

Re: E-mails from Jason
are you girls still in contact with Jason?
Re: E-mails from Jason
Jason, you're a lovely, talented daddy, "trophy husband" (your words), and thespian who does an amazing job making time to Isaccettes-kol hadavod! (good for you), it's greatly appreciated! Now, if you can only explain why you think there is a school teacher in the Wizard of Oz, I could unfurrow my brow; you rarely stump me, but I know the movie and book so well, and sorry love, you're going to have to explain yourself! ellen
Re: E-mails from Jason
Welcome, ellen. I think he's referring to the musical, Wicked, based on Oz before, during, and after Dorothy arrives. There is a witch's school in it.
Re: E-mails from Jason
I'm not so sure, this is from a you tube segment he did about his favorite movie as a kid and he's speaking about realizing the witch is the mean teacher and all the rest of the characters in Dorothy's dream are from her real life, but there IS no teacher in the origional movie or book (although truthfully, I've never seen Wicked-my husband HATES musicals, I've taught my kids to appreciate them- my daughter saw it and loved it, can't change husbands though; if you've seen the you tube segment, you'll discover HE wasn't referring to Wicked either though, or so I believe-Jason, you'll have to clear this one up dearie, it's YOUR story!). A Happy and Healthy Jewish New Year to all, ellen

Welcome, Ellen!
I think JI must have been referring to the alter ego of the Wicked Witch of the West, Miss Almira Gulch. Wikipedia identifies her only as a "townswoman," but I kinda thought she was Dorothy's teacher too.
