The Public TV station in Boston carried three of my favorite shows - Mystery Theatre, Monty Python's Flying Circus and Dr. Who. I loved those shows (still do!)

I totally love Doctor Who! It would be so cool if JI were in a episode. Of course David Tennant was the awesomest Doctor ever - but Matt Smith does a fair job.

I think JI would really enjoy being in an episode - they make a special Doctor Who Confidential about the shooting of every episode - they seem to have a lot of fun making DW. It is also pretty hard work!

I just found this on IMDB, Jason Isaacs is credited as "The Captain" in this Dr. Who episode.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1672218/

To be aired December 25th 2010.

(We'll have to wait and see if it's true, but maybe this is what the secret meeting was about? :D )

I'm not into Dr. Who, but found this on Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Do ... o_villains

The Captain

The Captain was a space pirate who appeared in the fourth Doctor episode The Pirate Planet. He was a cyborg, with half of his body covered in robotic prosthetics, and had a pet robot parrot, named Polyphase Avitron, that rested on his shoulder. He was prone to ridiculous expletives like "by the beard of the sky demon!" and "moons of madness!", and was directly served by a nurse and a nervous little man named Mr Fibuli. The Captain piloted an entire planet called Zanak, which would materialise around other planets and crush them into precious gems. The Captain kept a trophy room of the super-compressed planets he had conquered. Toward the end of the episode, it was revealed that the Captain's nurse was actually a projection of a queen named Xanxia, who was controlling the Captain and using the energy created by the crushing of plundered planets to fuel a machine that perpetually kept her a few seconds from death.

:lol If this is true, it sounds like fun!

I really hope he gets another costume:

Edit: If this is the guy, I really hope he gets another costume: ::rofl

LOL--thanks, Thunder! That photo is, I'm sorry to say, entirely representative of my Doctor associations!
Servalan posted on the FanZone that the season's finale had aired with no sign of Himself--sounds like this would be next season??

IMDb says it's episode 0 in season 6, and it will air December 25th this year (2010). So I guess it's going to be a Christmas special, or something? According to my sister, who is an eager watcher, of Dr. Who, they just finished season 5.

Thunder, thanks! I am looking forward to this.

My one concern would be that the specials aren`t always included when a season is broadcast. I still have never seen the one with Kylie Minogue.

Sounds deliciously camp, thunder, but I'm sure the new iteration will be more toned down.
