I mimic the look of glee and say joyously, 'Yes, incredibly!' He runs off, satisfied.

I hate to tell him that, at my age, the novelty has worn off slightly.

Thank you to all you super duper people for your good wishes.

I'm not really a cynical old cow yet, but I am now officially in my late thirties. Mid-thirties was nice, but I don't think I can get away with that anymore.

But, yes, I'm going to have a lovely day - my kids (I have a nine-year-old girl too) are happy and excited, so so am I.

And best of all ... it's the next episode of Case Histories tonight!! Fandabydozy!!
