WIGS

Post by LadySekhmet » Wed May 23, 2012 5:38 pm

Hi all,

I don't *think* anyone posted this yet (if it has been, please excuse the double posting), but here is an article on that series of short movies on the youTube channel that Himself mentioned in his email. The article mentions a list of names of folks, which includes Jason, who are involved with the project. It doesn't seem like his movie/project is up yet.

(I do have to wonder--why did they name the channel WIGS? It's not an overly appealing mental image.)

. . . especially with the uneven history Himself has with those articles.

I'm hoping that we can trust this article, since Jason did mention this project (Avnet/WIGS) in his email. *crosses fingers*

Well. I hope Jason knows what he signed up for! Now, I'll definitely have to keep an eye on that youTube channel! *looks innocent* You know...simply to expand my cultural and dramatic boundaries... :cherub

Hey, I didn't make it up! I went to the 2nd link and it's there is an advert on the right, I just copied it... It DID sound a bit boring until I saw the first few Jan stories, and then the advert, and knew Jason would do just fine and dandy in this thank you very much. His bit probably won't be as boring as he says, he always undermines himself, so we just take him with a salt lick, and know he'll be brilliant. ln

Wigs...at first I thought this thread was about the wigs he wears in the films.

Hm ... "to the pain"? Throwing in a bit of The Princess Bride for good measure? {winks and hugs} Love that movie too, even though it isn't one of JI's

heh heh. Good catch! I know it's "inconceivable" that Jason has to share me, but -alas!- he does! *ducks the flying rotten tomatoes* No worries, he hangs out in the tippity-top tier of a select number of faves and has for several years now (even when I didn't know his name, so I had to self-name him "the PhD guy from Armegeddon"). :D

The first 1-3rd ones are out already, they're sort of a bunch of shorts, but by the time I get around to watching them it's about 1 am and I'm falling asleep, so I've been trying to re-watch the ones I fell asleep during the night before (did ANYone follow that?). They're actually pretty good, but as I'm running around camp all day chasing these 5-11 year olds, I'm exhausted by the time I get home to shop, clean and cook dinner and do laundry and pack my son for camp and my daughter for Israel (don't your OWN kids ever grow up or is the Peter Pan syndrome just everywhere??) so I'm, what's that term... oh yeah-knackered, by about 1am, but give em a look see for yourselves. I think Jason's is up next. LN

ok, Jason wanted to know what we think of them, here's what I think now that I've had a day off to actually have 3 hours to watch Jan and Blue. I think it's sort of a pain to have to jump through hoops to remember which episode you were watching so you don't repeat or skip ahead but actually go right to the next episode b/c either I'm a computer idiot (which may well be an option), or you have to choose the episode each time. I'd rather just watch an entire series at one go, not 9 minutes at a time, I think it's a pain. Having said that, I think the stories are nice and complicated, and Jan is very sensual at times. Blue, people commented about kiddie porn and the way the kid speaks to his mom (and that he's shirtless), but I personally didn't find it so offensive, it too was a complicated story, very human. I don't have the time right now to check into any others that were made, but WOULD be interested to see what anyone out there in "Jason-land" thinks of the project. I'm sure HIS parts (didn't he say he is in 2 stories?) will be just as complicated and human and wonderful and sensual. LN
