This pilot for a Fox television series, based on the novel by Scott Turow, was tragically not selected for production. Bastards.

They must really be expecting good things from this show. What a cast and Jason is the lead. WOW

Larroquette, repped by ICM and Brillstein Entertainment, will play the patrician managing partner of the firm who recruited him. "Guilty" marks Larroquette's return to the legal-drama beat following his recent regular role on "Boston Legal," where he also played a senior partner at a top law firm. He also won an Emmy for his guest role on "The Practice" and four Emmys for playing an ADA on the sitcom "Night Court."
Futon Critic stated he plays Martin Gold
Haha, we knew this before it hit Google News.
We are good or what?
Also
Isabelle Fuhrman will join Jason Isaacs in the Fox pilot “Pleading Guilty.” Fuhrman will play Isaacs’ daughter. Thesp was recently seen in WB thriller “Orphan.”
HUH?? Mack has a 19 yo son, not a daughter, in the book. Maybe they think it's too much testosterone already..LOL

Hmm, I wonder how different the storyline of the tv series will be from the book.
Haha, we knew this before it hit Google News.

Absolutely marvelous casting news. I love Brian Dennehy....will he be the awful badguy cop who hates Mack and tries to put him in prison? And LaRoquette! Jiminy Crickets! They are going all the way to make this a really good show.... fifty hoorahs for Fox Productions!

I expect the show to be quite different. The book will just be the basis for the show.
I hope they give the daughter some character not just another goody two shoes.

Char, you're probably right. They need to balance the cast to appeal to as many people as possible. Besides being the father of a daughter will show a sensitive side of Jason's character. Of course, I haven't read the book, so I don't know what the relationship with the son is. But I think you've hit it, Char.

Could have been Jason's idea too. He has experience with daughters.

Helen, Char, I think you are both right!!!
In the book, Mack's relationship with his son, was terrible.
The son, was rarely mentioned...
Possibly be more interaction with a daughter, and as Char stated,
could be Jason's idea!!!
this has become a decent pilot!!

If this doesn't get picked up now, I'll be seriously disappointed.
