They had to know what kind of show they were producing to begin with, so I don't think there was a "profile" to fit into. I think more likely the expense was a concern, or they weren't sure it would be a big hit.

Honestly, I don't think PG wasn't picked up simply because they didn't like it. There might be many reasons why a pilot doesn't get ordered to series.

Maybe it didn't fit their schedule. Possibly they thought it wouldn't fit in with the other shows that were picked up. It may not have fit the profile that they wanted.

Disappointing news indeed that Pleading Guilty didn't get picked up by Fox. What a pity for Jason and everyone involved in the pilot. At least we'll have that, I hope.

If PG isn't picked up by another network, we'll see him in something else.

Yes Angel, we'll see him in something else. Jason never seems to lack for work of one kind or another.
It's that most of us were looking forward to seeing him every week.

I know. I know. Pleading Guilty is a thing of the past and Jason has moved on.
But as I read the fall TV previews I keep waiting to see his picture which of course is not there. (Big Sigh)

With all the new fall shows airing it doesn't look like much of a season. I've never seen so many shows with a thumbs down.
It seems like any character driven show with a continuous story line is out.
I wonder how PG would have done. Guess we'll never know.
After seeing some of the new shows I can't see where it could have been that bad.
