Angel, on the most recent video interview, Jason said he hadn't started filming yet.

Love the pic, can't wait for this BBC adaptation to hit the screens. Love the facial hair, but didn't quite imagine Jackson Brodie with it for some reason. Although after hearing Jason read the 3 audio books, I can imagine how little time Brodie has to attend to such mundane things like shaving.

Bought all 3 books for my UK trip. Will probably take 2 of them to read while in the air. Will try to get audio book when in the UK next month.

Carole

Good plan, Carole--I spent ages trying to figure out how to get the audiobooks here. Couldn't download 'em from Audible.com (copyright issues--there's a different reader for the U.S. editions), couldn't buy CDs from Amazon's U.S. website--finally settled for buying them on Amazon UK, and asking my sister-in-law to bring them in her luggage next month!

But will you be able to listen to them on our hardware, Hilary? Aren't UK CDs like their DVDs? Region-specific?

Nope--CDs are universal.

Grateful for small miracles.

Is shipping prohibitive? Is that why it's bett-r to have your S-I-L hand-deliver them?

Seven pounds for non-expedited shipping. :-| Or about 11-12 bucks. Not outrageous, but hey, if I can 'em for free, I'll choose that option!!

And "nonexpedited" means "some time next year if you're lucky, Mate."

It did not take too too long for the book to arrive from Amazon UK - and that was heavier than the CDs should be. So hopefully you will get it sooner Hil.

I got the audio book of "Started Early, Took My Dog" in the mail yesterday and started putting it on itunes. Will make a playlist for it and try to save it for the plane.

I'll probably buy the book when I'm in London in a few weeks time. Can't wait to listen to Jason's dulcet tones, once more as Jackson Brodie.

Yep, I couldn't wait to buy the audiobook before flying out to the UK in 3 weeks time. I too bought them from Amazon in the UK. Worked out a bit exxey, but hey, it's Jason. I've spent more on a 3 minute video clip of him in Oz, so a 5 CD set is nothing. :D

after reading all 4 books, I finally listened to the audio version of
"Case Histories"...although, it is an abridged version of the novel, I totally
enjoyed listening to Jason for almost 6 hours (the story wasnt bad either)
LOL :woot :woot

I found that by reading the book first, I could concentrate more on the
audio version (you know what I mean) ;-)
