In Depth Plot Synopsis

This is a TV series about a police officer after a fatal car crash killed either his son or his wife. He lives in two realities. One where his son survived the accident, and one where his wife survived. He doesn't know which is the real one, and he doesn't want to know. It aired on NBC, and was cancelled after one season.

This sounds good. It will make you think. I hope they don't ruin it by dumbing it down.

Seems like Jason picked a winner.

You can see from that why Mr Isaacs picked this from the pack.

To Brit eyes it looks more like a version of Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes than Inception - and I suspect that it might play better in the UK for that reason - if it ever does get picked up and exported.

Fingers crossed.

After PG I don't want to get my hopes up. Still, it sounds very interesting.

Great synopsis - definitely sounds like a meaty part for our Jason. Something to sink his serious acting chops into!

Me too ....... preferably without pulling anything. I like my limbs where they are rightfully situated.

Storyline sounds fab. I wish all concerned the best with it.

I love the way they refer to the "Great Jason Isaacs"

But we knew that.

In my opinion, reading the info from all involved, this should make it to series...

Anxious to see the pilot ;-)

Not to be a naysayer, but this plot is too convoluted for the typical U.S. viewer. Anything that requires critical thinking skills. Fringe now has about 5 million viewers. The Event was put on hiatus for several months for low ratings. Flash Forward was canceled after about 15 episodes. Life on Mars barely made it one season here. Lost lost half of its viewers because it was too confusing. I pray that if it's picked up that NBC gives it half a chance.

Okay. Commence throwing bricks and bottles. aaa.gif

I see your point Helen. Didn't I say in a previous post that I hope they didn't dumb it down? A distinct possibility to get fans.
Still I hope it gets picked up. We need more shows with both entertainment and thinking values.
One more reality show and I think I'll go crazy.

I don't know, I think they will pick it up for a series. Perhaps I'm being too optimistic but....

If the issues are basically psychological then I don't think it will scare US viewers too much. If it comes with a Sci-Fi angle- then it might. You just never know. Good acting will over come a lot of story issues (the reason Fringe and Lost are/were sucessful.) So even if the show has a fantasy sci-fi angle - if the acting and stories are good it will suceed (at least for a while.) Jason is a brilliant actor and with his being involved with Production I have positive vibe about this effort.
