Third season gets the greenlight!
From The Hollywood Reporter ...
Showtime has ordered a third season of the critically praised series "Brotherhood."
The premium cable network has ordered eight more episodes of the gritty political/crime drama starring Jason Isaacs, Jason Clarke and Annabeth Gish.
" 'Brotherhood' is one of our shining hours at Showtime -- a drama series that is among the highest-quality shows offered anywhere on television," Showtime's entertainment president Robert Greenblatt said. "And we're proud to keep it firmly in our portfolio."
Despite its strong critical acclaim, which includes a 2007 Peabody Award, "Brotherhood" wasn't a slam-dunk for renewal because of its modest ratings.
However, the drama showed growth airing behind Showtime's breakout ratings hit "Dexter" in the fall. The Showtime record-setting Nov. 18 episode of "Dexter" lifted "Brotherhood" to 651,000 viewers at 10 p.m. and another 110,00 at midnight -- the series' largest audience ever.
Additionally, "Brotherhood" is well liked within CBS Corp. In an effort to get more exposure for the series, an edited version of its premiere episode aired on CBS in 2006.
"Brotherhood" is exec produced by series creator Blake Masters, Henry Bromell and Elizabeth Guber Stephen. The show will continue to shoot on location in Providence, R.I.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, , I can't wait to see the aftermath of that last scene.
It's probably only 8 because the strike cut into the production schedule, and things may be looking up because the striking writers will resume talks tomorrow.
Hopefully they can come to some agreement and us viewers can get our shows back.
8 is better than none. More Michael Caffee...YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

an interesting article, explaining how BH almost wasn't renewed, to
make room for new pilots now coming out...We all thought the WGA Strike was holding BH back, I think it actually helped it to return...
