Their motives are as mysterious as a Lost plotline.
How's that??

Well, I finally got tired of waiting for Showtime to announce a decision.
I called my cable company today and cancelled Showtime. It's gone up to almost $15 per month and I've only watched 4 hours since December.
They asked why I cancelled and I explained about BH and I could hear her typing my explanation. Not that it means anything but I had my say.
I can always subscribe again if it comes back.
I feels like the end of an era and I feel as if we have lost something good.

Grannybear - when I cancelled my Showtime I also told them it was because Brotherhood was cancelled.

Hey, if enough of you cancel your subscriptions citing the Brotherhood cancelation as the reason, Schmotime could feel a ground swell.

Hear these words
Hear my cry
Showtime from the upper side
come to me - I summon thee
Cross now the Great Divide

Powers of the Caffees rise
Course unseen across the skies
Come to all who call you near
Come to all and settle here (point to your cable boxes)

I sure hope this summoning spell works! *crosses fingers*

Good try, Marilaine, but I don't think an incantation will work on Schmotime.

They wouldn't let you cancel? Why ever the hell not?

I don't know if your spell had any effect on Showtime and Brotherhood's prospects, Marilaine, but on Friday, the day you posted this, I began a re-watch of the entire series two.

Please note that I did not read your post before today!

Evidently you have powers; maybe you are casting in the wrong direction? :D

Just went back and checked to see if Showtime was turned off.
Didn't want to pay for it if it was still on. Turned off. Whew.

Why couldn't you cancel? Was there a contract or something? I thought you could cancel at will. Seems odd. But then I think cable companies make their own rules.

was told by Comcast, since it was part of a package deal, I couldn't
break up the package...funny, a few years ago, I was able to drop
HBO (that was part of a package, then, too)....

That's the excuse I was given, too (also by Comcast). :???:
