BTW this just reminded me that I had not added Showtime yet - so I just called DirecTV and added that service. It was $12 per month - a very small price to pay to see Jason!!!! :D

Cheers,
Marie

That IS fast. I thought DVD's were only released based on the popularity of a show, and even then you had to wait a couple of seasons.
Still, that's great news for everybody.

Just what I need . . . another dilemma: Do I wait until Sept., pay for the DVDs to see the entire series (delayed Jason-gratification), and miss out on all the dialogue on the board [sigh], or have Miss Char's every month's worth of DVDs, see Jason monthly all summer, and ruminate with y'all?

It made no mention of any Special Features, so I'm assuming it'll be just the episodes, which I'll see via Char.

I guess I'm going with my monthy fix from Char. I'll PayPal you in the next day or so.

Well, I agree that that is a fast turnaround for DVDs.

Helen

Just really repeating a question someone asked on 'The State Within' threads, but wondering if there is any news when 'Brotherhood' will be on region 2 DVDs? I can't get FX so have only great reviews and photographs to know what I am missing out on, lol. I don't mind waiting (well...within reason ;-) ) if I know they will be released eventually in the UK!

I checked on AmazonUK, and they are only showing the Region 1 DVD available... I had heard it was doing pretty well on FX, and would still hold out hope that a Region 2 version will appear!

(Doesn't this Region crap naff you off??!)

It is a pain in the arse this regional thing, but then any method to gain more profit it seems, grr@them! More annoying when you know they could do region 0 DVDs...I have one in that format from Australia.

Fingers crossed then to hear further about a UK release!

I went out looking yesterday, from store to store and could not find a Region 1...I went to Amazon.com and ordered it, I think it was 23.98, and also got free shipping. So, save your gas money and order it online...I recd my Region 2 DVD from Amazon.uk a few months ago...
If the Region 1 DVD set follows the editing done here in the US, I would much rather watch the UK version...But at least I will have one set of both...Stores I visitied yesterday: Walmart, Target, Kmart, BJ's, and 3 video stores at the local mall...None of the mentioned stores had any

Why would they edit it if it was made for the US by Showtime?

It's not like they will film some racier scenes or put more foul language in it???? ;-)
