Ditto! I won't ever go back to Windoze. It may work for some people, but I found Macs to be above and beyond.grannybear wrote:Still love my Mac. Best computer I've had.

Sounds like spyware or a virus, Helen.
FYI, my mom's PC has been having a lot of problems lately, so I switched her anti-virus software over from the free version of AVG to Avast and ran a scan on her hard drive. It caught over a dozen trojans and viruses that had gone completely undetected by AVG!!
If any of you guys use AVG and are having problems, you might want switch. I don't think they're keeping their virus libraries anywhere near up to date.

Thanks for the heads up, Gillian. I will have to check what my parents are running. Hopefully not AVG!Gillian wrote:Sounds like spyware or a virus, Helen.

Here' an update. Do any of you remember the trouble I had with my old computer and Vista? It's being laying on my closet floor and a friend asked if she could buy it. I wouldn't take any money for it and told her she could have it.
She couldn't even get it on line. It would just freeze every time she tried. Anyway there is now a group of people working on it and determined to find the problem. Ha! Good Luck.
P.S. My Mac works beautifully.

Now you tell me! I have AVG and two days ago I could not get my computer started because one of the files was corrupted, I had to completely re-install Windows and now all of my music files and documents have disappeared, Thank goodness there wasn't anything vital that can't be replaced.Gillian wrote:Sounds like spyware or a virus, Helen.

I am going to go and buy some virus protection.
