I'm ready for my close up Mr DeMille
What a hoot! Ken and I were extras in a movie. Our scene filmed yesterday. We played a married couple (big stretch huh - I got cast first then Ken said he was interested so I gave him the Director's email and thought that would be the end of it - so what happens he gets cast as my husband!!!!) We are looking to buy a house. Our role is non-speaking but we show up clearly and we get screen credit! The Real Estate Lady showing us houses gets a phone call about the house she recently sold to a couple that had both a suicide and an accidental death (she only knew about the suicide - it was her husband!) Anyway it is a mystery with a bit of a supernatural bent. Amazing the amount of work that goes into these things - I have a new found respect for all the technical aspects of the work. Ken kept breaking us up though because if a car or plane went by - he would say something (since we could not film) like - "hey - I'd sure like a house without dead bodies in it!"
OK it will never appear at Sundance but I sure had fun!
Oh - the name of the movie is "The Vacant House" and when it is done it will get submitted to some local Film Festivals.

Oh look, you even have credit at IMDb!!
Now you really be famous!
That is too cool! So how did you find out about it? Was it in the local newspaper?
You'll have to let us know when it premieres. Have you got your dress picked out yet?

When it is done the Director rents a local movie theatre and invites the cast and crew to bring as many friends and relatives for free!!! I found out about the production from my friend Lisa Farrall. She works at the same Company as me but she is very involved with local theatre.
I think it is such a hoot that I'm listed in Imdb!
Yes - I'll have to have Ken take a headshot for me.

Here are some production snapshots:

Notice we were good little extras and did not look at the camera!
My favorite picture is the one that says "Not even a donut will wake her up..."
