Finally, a nice day

Post by kjshd05 » Thu Apr 10, 2008 4:22 pm

Finally, a nice day, weather wise, to start up the Harley, and go
for a ride..
I've spent all afternoon outside, 70 degrees, perfect weather...
Made it home in one piece, before the evening rush hour.
Life is good...LOL

Life damn sure SOUNDS good!! :D

Here's how my little non-contest-winning BoyDog spent the afternoon: dragging around sticks in the woods. It was projected to hit 70 here today, so of course it was about 76; neither of us is used to it yet.

Ahhhh, a hog, the open road and the wind in your hair. Sounds wonderful, Kim!
I've only seen a few die-hards out on their bikes so far, but it won't be long now ...

Hil, your dog is just the cat's ass. *snicker*
You can tell him I said that too.

I envy you people. You are getting to the best part of the year. Pleasant tempertures as said above. A chance to be comfortabe outside.
We on the other hand in Florida start our bad seasons. It will hit 90 here by the first of May and get very humid. It will stay that way for 6 months until October and where it sounds good it gets tiresome. Too much time in the house getting cooled off.
I don't know which is worse. Very hot heat or very cold snow. Take your choice. No place is perfect.

We just had a massive system of thunderstorms and half of the area is flooded. But, through all of that the weather has still been pleasant. When the clouds parted, it was a lovely day. A little too windy, but nice. I think it's supposed to freeze in a few days, though.

Grannybear, you may envy me today, but wait another week or two, and I'll be just as voluble about the shvitzing myself. We typically have unbroken weeks of 100+ degree weather in August, along with 90% humidity--plus I get the snow, and if I wanna haul my ass to the beach (well, it's worth it to visit eternalstudent) that's a good 4-hour drive.
So don't be too jealous!

Hilary, your "boy dog" is very precious...

I always thought Arizona was the best place for weather...
guess it's all in the eye of the beholder...

The closest beach to me is about 2 1/2 hrs away in
Atlantic City...although, I find it difficult to pass by the Roulette
Wheel in search of sand...

Delaware Bay areas are nice, but I prefer the ocean...

I can't complain for the snow amounts we had this season, but it's the
bone chilling cold that gets to me...as I get older, my tolerance for
cold gets less and less...

another warmer day, 70 degrees here, with more humidity, and cloudy
all day...that's OK, made for cooler riding...

now, as the cold front blows thru, after tomorrow we will be back
into the 50's...ARGH...

Talk about crazy weather. Next week the weather service says we will have several days in the 60's and down into the 40's at night. In my forty years in Florida I've never seen anything like this year.
