Don't take too hard, Mariagare.....I just didn't have the interest in it that others had. Which is a shame. Jason looks really handsome in that suit.
And the singing voice is really swoony. But, I couldn't really follow the plot. Sorry!

what's with saying the "tartan is for shit" (not exactly word-perfect, but I'm paying more attention him as Cherry than to the accent.

Wouldn't Chaz say he's Scottish, too? Or would he claim more Irish?

Sorry! I love both accents, and they're kind of close.
Maybe it's just me. Chaz can use any accent he wants. :sothere:

I think this is directed at my 3/4-1/4 comment. I wasn't claiming that one of Chaz's parents was of mixed parentage. The accent was intended to be Scottish in the movie, (and huge apologies to Jase) but there's the occasional lapse over the North Channel.

All credit to him, when I try to sound Scottish, it mutates from Glaswegian into Indian within syllables.

Dude can use any accent he wants. I love,love,love,love,love,LOVE his voice.

I just wish I had a neighbor like him. I'd be late for work just for that glimpse of him in the morning. And, I'd ALWAYS have coffee in my apartment.

Eh.. well.. It was ok, but a little different then I thought it would be, the end of it I mean.
And my boyfriend's only comment was this "You bought the movie just because of one English actor didn't you"

It's a remake of a movie with a concept that probably worked a lot better in the wacky (pre-AIDS) 1960s.
I just can't stand Keanu Reeves*, and I thought he was pitifully miscast in this.

*I listen to Mark Kermode's movie reviews on BBC's 5Live; he had a whole riff on actors' names which reflected how wooden he felt their acting was: Nicole Kindling (one film, I think), Ikea Knightley (though he had to admit that she'd much improved in The Duchess), Matthew Mahogany. I think a listener suggested "Canoe" Reeves, but I recalled the fact that we had referred to him as the Little Wooden Boy, and I am delighted with myself for coming up with PinoKeanu Reeves.
