Order DVD from Spain

A fencing Jason Isaacs--in tights, no less!! Sorry--a historical drama concerning machinations and maneuverings in the court of Spain's Philip II, erstwhile husband to England's Queen Mary Tudor and dispatcher of the ill-fated Armada. Velvet and ruffed collars. Unfortunately, it appeared only sporadically in theatres, and is tough to find even on DVD.

Post by Chari910 » Thu Feb 26, 2009 1:01 am

Hatsuan has provided a link to order this DVD in English! The shipping charge to the US is quite high (20 euros from 1DVD up to max of 3 or 4 DVD's)

https://www.dvdgo.com/home~category_par ... ~sec~1.htm

THANKS! Hatsuan...Waiting to hear your review of the DVD.

I wonder if it will ever show up on Amazon since it wasn't shown here in the USA?

The DVD is Region 2. No extra features.

the Blu-ray includes these extras:
Trailer, Making of, Deleted scenes, Filmographies, Film credits, Cast, Gallery, Storyboard

Both are out of stock right now! Hopefully they will recoup some of the 15 mil euros.

The Blu-ray is NOT REGION FREE! It's ZONE B. Which is European. My PS3 won't play it at first....only after tweaking..

They said it was out of stock when I ordered too, but I got a message the day after that they had shipped it. And I got it a couple of days later. :D

By the way, thanks for the link, Char!

You're welcome, thunder. Credits go to Hatsuan. :D

Jason is so handsome in those costumes. He was great as a romantic lead.

I would love to have seen how their love affair started from the beginning.

Was surprised how 'familiar' they were with each other in the first scene together. LOL

They sure didn't waste any time! :D
First scene was very "straight to the point! :D

I wish there were more scenes with him and Julia Ormond in the film. They have a lot, but I think some of the other plotlines was a bit uninteresting. And they never really explained their relationship.

Thanks to Hatsuan for the link too! :D

Well, it must be just my bad luck, but I have ordered this dvd from this place four separate times, and each time my order is acknowledged, accepted, then cancelled a week later. Is there some other place that might be more interested in my money?

Hopeless in South Carolina!

 At age 78 and a half years, my patience is wearing thinner, and i have tried this hopelessly bad site at least six times. reordering, being assured it is coming, then being told it is NOT coming, with no polite reason, and no hope it WILL come. Perhaps there is a better site where it can be obtained. PLEASE!
