I'm not sure about that scene, but the actor playing young!Lucius (Tony Coburn) says his character appears in a dinner scene with Slughorn...Sea Lion Woman wrote:*raises hand* I think I can explain.
There's one scene in HPB where you can see Snape's childhood, I mean when he was in school (a flashback scene) and in one scene I think there's a young Lucius Malfoy in it.
Like he doesn't say anything, he's just there, so I kinda seems pointless.
But anyway!

Aaaah. Okay. So he's in the memory that Harry has to get. Funny, because he's not specifically mentioned in the book, though others are (Lestrange and I don't know who else) as being there with Riddle talking to Slughorn.
'Salright. I don't mind any extra Lucius; even if it's not Mr. Isaacs, it reminds me of him. LOL
Yep. Tom Felton must've studied some of JI's earlier films to get that sneer just right.
Isn't there a scene where they show young Snape when he first arrives at Hogwarts, and is sorted into Slytherin.....isn't Lucius like, Head Boy or something. (The other title escapes me for some reason. )

Seeing Snape sorted into Slytherin is in "Deathly Hallows."
Angel, honestly, you can read "Deathly Hallows" without having read the previous six, I suppose, but it's really worth catching up on them. Makes it that much more ... well, I don't know what the word is, so I'll just say satisfying. And I would imagine a lot of it would be just plain unintelligible if you hadn't the background of the other books to understand the interplay of the characters, and importance of some of the revelations (like the Prince's Tale, as a prime example).
Then again, methinks I'm a little too attached to the whole thing ...

Me, too, a.p.k. The first movie I watched was COS, and I got sooooooooooooo addicted, I started reading the books right away.
My top faves are Prisoner of Azkaban, and Goblet of Fire.
I read them each three times before any of the others were even read twice.

Poor Narcissa, this thread is supposed to be about her, but we're discussing her hot hubby.
