"Variety Article for Mid-Season Replacements!"

This is a TV series about a police officer after a fatal car crash killed either his son or his wife. He lives in two realities. One where his son survived the accident, and one where his wife survived. He doesn't know which is the real one, and he doesn't want to know. It aired on NBC, and was cancelled after one season.

Just one person's musings. Nothing definite in that. We'll know when NBC finally releases its midseason schedule.

I hadn't thought of thursday but sounds interesting.

As for Prime Suspect I wonder. He just thinks it's in trouble but doesn't say much more,
I watch because of Brian O'Byrne. Being a fan of the original show I can't really warm up to this one. Maybe
with a different title.

Anyway thursday for Awake sounds better than some other ideas I've heard.

I hope this doesn't mean that the writers are having more problems than was made public. This is certainly not good news. :-(

I can't verify this, but someone posted on the FanZone they read 'somewhere' that
it would not be seen until September of next year :gah:

Obviously missing from the current schedule are Community and Prime Suspect, as well as new shows Awake, Bent and BFFs, which will all premiere later in the spring.
From http://www.buddytv.com/articles/the-voi ... 42692.aspx
And perhaps just as depressing as Community's yank is the absence of Awake, the mind-bending drama from Lone Star creator Kyle Killen that was (I believe) due to debut in January. That show, which recently made headlines by stopping production for script overhauls, could still premiere sometime in March if things go well, but it's another wait-and-see scenario.
From http://www.tv.com/news/nbc-announces-it ... ime-27163/
Spring is better than September.

Just a little message from google...a Matt Roush interview. A bit more hopeful although still a little questionable. :???:

Well, if they wanted to cancel it, they would have done already. :???: ...right...?
I don't know what's going on, but I'll stay optimistic until we hear more news.

I felt a little better after reading that Q&A. I too was a little worried about the darkness of the plot and was really hoping they would be able to inject some humor into the stories. I think that is where Brotherhood really suffered. I also worried how long "realistically" if I could use that term - you could have someone perform at a high level as a Detective - while living with the emotional baggage of the wife or son being dead. It could only go on for so long before it either strained reality too far or the audience gets boared. So I admire NBC for wanting to make sure the show works and to have some thought put into the framework of future episodes. I so look forward to this show. I hope Jason is still excited about it (and not frustrated!)
