Brotherhood photocall for FX UK

Post by Gillian » Thu Oct 05, 2006 6:00 pm

Jason was at a photocall to promote Brotherhood on the FX channel in London today. Photos are available at the links below. Unfortunately most are small but WENN has a few decent sized images ...

Here's some more. They're watermarked but medium quality.

Jason Isaacs will star in a new drama called 'Brotherhood' where suited and booted city workers flock to central London to relieve stress with a new form of therapy smashing up cars with baseball bats.

This is something I'd wish my employers would do -- park a car outside and leave some baseball bats handy. I'd probably be out there a couple times a day.

Workers vent by smashing cars
1.21, Mon Oct 9 2006

Stressed City workers have taken part in an event to vent their frustrations - by smashing up cars with baseball bats.

The "FX Brotherhood Breakdown" was organised by the FX cable channel ahead of a new gritty drama.

Set in an Irish neighbourhood in Providence, Rhode Island, Brotherhood is based around two brothers: one a gangster (Jason Isaacs) and the other a politician (Jason Clarke).

More than 100 people descended on a disused railway arch in central London for the event which was also in response to research that men believe "new age" stress therapies do not work.

The poll, revealed that 74 per cent of men would choose to "punch, kick or break an object" as the most effective way to calm down.

FX Channel marketing director Diego Reck said: "Situations in the everyday workplace can cause extremely high stress levels and that build-up of pressure needs a release."

He added: "Finding a quick, safe and satisfying release for all of this pressure is hard to come by. The FX Brotherhood Breakdown is just that, a pressure valve."

1,000 men were questioned in the poll.

Holy shizz. And I thought JI's response to Scars ("move the hell away from London") was hyperbolic...

Thanks for thinking of us Penny, but WireImage has some pretty serious copyright restrictions, so you wouldn't be able to post 'em anyway.

--meant to say ages earlier--was I the only one squirming at the thought of flying shards of (albeit) safety glass, chips of paint, shavings of metal etc.?? Man, I was dying to get the man a pair of safety goggles and some hearing protection...

Men. Can't live with 'em. Can't hang 'em on a meat hook.
