Re: Please introduce yourself here!!- Hello I'm a Newbie Her
Hello -
My name is Cadie and just found this forum and Jason Issacs Online - The Lost Girls. Thanks for letting me join.
A little about me - I live in North Carolina ~ work as an adminstrative support specialist at a local university. I'm married (31 years on June 27), no children. Hobbies include: crochet, cross stitch, reading, cooking...exercise with weights, walking, yoga, tai chi. I do enjoy a good movie/tv program. Right now I'm trying to decide to retire (have my 30 years in) or continue working.
I first became aware of Jason Issacs in Case Histories (PBS) last fall. When a character catches my attention, I want to watch other films by the actor. Since discovering Mr. Isaacs, I've been researching and catching up with his work/interviews via DVD and online. I have started my dvd library = Case Histories, Passionada, State Within, The Patriot, Peter Pan, Sweet November, Armageddon, and Harry Potter. I watched Awake and thought it was brilliant. NBC's loss when they didn't recognize this. What I love about Jason as an actor is that he can play any role and make it his own. There have been times when I'm impressed by a performace by an actor in a film and then watch the actor in other films and wasn't impressed. They seem to play each role the same and there are no surprises. Not with Jason. He is extremly talented, funny (would love to see him in a sitcom), articulate, great with voices. He makes me laugh and smile and some parts I shed tears because the scene is so lovely. He seems to be a wonderful family man, solid and down to earth. The more I read/watch/listen - I have the utmost respect for this remarkable man.

Welcome to the fold Cadie. Those were wonderful words to say about Jason, and they are so true. He is an amazing actor.
I had watched Sweet November when it originally came out on the big screen. Later on, when I found more of Jason's work I was surprised to find out that he was in Sweet November. It had been many years since I watched it. So, I watched it again and my jaw dropped. Talk about versatility.

Thank you ladies for the welcome! I am also a member of the Fanzone and I kept seeing "The Lost Girls" and wondered who the lost girls were. Did a google search, found Jason Isaacs Online and this forum! I am truly overwhelmed (in a fantastic way) by it all. I'm taking my time soaking everything in and looking forward to many stimulating conversations. And I won't be shy about asking questions, so please bear with me.

Welcome Tigerhawk. And Caddie - lovely to have someone join us via Case Histories (yes, Jason is so versatile!)
Perhaps we should re-name ourselves the Lost Ladies since so many of us are of 'a certain age' (LOL, as I believe they say on the internets).
