as I dodge the flying objects, I'm kinda partial to Daniel Craig,
Chris Noth, and a whole bunch of other guys, too...LOL
my "Mum" scolds me all the time, telling me Mr Jason should be the
only one, but I tell her he's Number One....LOL
I viewed "Hot Fuzz" the other day, and Simon Pegg was kinda cute...

I don't like other actors as much as I like (love) Jason Isaacs.
He's the only one for me.

"Just what this world needs....a cock , in a frock, on a rock!" ~ Bernadette/Ralph (I love how they make him so mad when they say his real name! )Gillian wrote:I said NO MORE FUCKING ABBA!!!
Hehehe, I love that film.
BTW, I also have a weird crush on Andy Serkis' Lumpy the Cook, from King Kong.
Just something about all that muscle and scruff ...
And if any of you dares breath a word I'll deny everything.
Derek Jacobi made me love Shakespeare (his is the only interpretation of Hamlet I love). Same with Anthony Hopkins as Othello and Quasimodo (then he became SIR ANTHONY HOKINS, and has been coasting ever since). Michael Gambon is a fmeekin' genuis. Compare his a-hole cigarette executive in THE INSIDER with him as Dumbledore; this guy just disappears into a role.
I sacrifice chickens to Emma Thompson's brilliance. Well, not really chickens. Peeps. When they're in season.
I've been surprised by Clive Owen. I liked him in GOSFORD PARK, but didn't see him again until I rented THE CHILDREN OF MEN in a moment of boredom. He was actually good. I even liked him in SHOOT 'EM UP. I have this prejudice against sexy men, that they can't act. But Owen and JI break that stereotype.

Well, even if he sucks in those movies,
Au contraire. He was riveting in both.
I'm still forgiving Derek Jacobi for that episode of Fraiser that he did.
"I die, Horatio!" [crumbles to floor, followed by horrendously long gasp of air]
Moira, I laughed uncontrollably throughout the episode. And I love Derek Jacobi. His performance was high camp at its loftiest. Think of it that way and give him some slack.

Cool! In that case, I'll check them out.Helen8 wrote:Well, even if he sucks in those movies,

Believe me, I do! I have friends who are professional actors, and a paying gig is a paying gig. If it means going from a starring role in the West End during the good times to doing a TV commercial as a dancing roll of toilet paper during the tough times, as long as the paychecks clear and the kids' Uni tuitions are paid, it's all good. But, as I'm not a fan of camp, it was kind of painful watching Jacobi in that episode. But for what it was, he was good, as usual.Moira, I laughed uncontrollably throughout the episode. Soule, I love North and South. I'd love to watch that again.
I was also thinking of the other actors I like and they're primarily British. Here are the actors I enjoy to see in films/etc. I may not 'follow' their careers, but they've done performances that I really enjoy.
Clive Owen
Alan Rickman
Eric Bana
Cary Elwes
Christian Bale. So adorable singing and dancing in the Newsies.
Bill Nighy
Simon Pegg
Sean Bean
Christopher Walken - I really don't know why!
Craig Parker
Geoffrey Rush
Hugh Laurie
Jeremy Irons
I'm also a Johnny Depp fan, but as soon as he became so very popular for Pirates, I began to like him less. No idea why. All the annoying pre-teens I guess... Ed Wood.. wonderful!

Jason is my be all and end all, lol. I don't get riled about the above listed actors as I do about him. But man, Jeremy Iron's voice is something. If anything thats what I like about him. That voice. I'm a sucker for distinctive voices.angelofmusic wrote:I don't like other actors as much as I like (love) Jason Isaacs.
