Jason At School

Post by Anniemouse » Sat Aug 07, 2021 3:33 pm

As I have been watching the Olympics I wondered if anyone knows if Jason was at that skateboarding standard that I watched over the last week. Also I did listen to an interview where he talked about studying law because he and all the other other students were starting from scratch but has he ever talked about the subjects he was good at at school as he seems to read a lot about science.

I have no idea about how good he was at skateboard. He mentions school in a couple of interviews, but according to himself, he didn't like it much. He may still have gotten good results, since he went to study law at university afterwards. Don't know how hard it is to get into law studies in the UK...?

In this panel he says that he didn't catch a lot of the important science lessons at school, and that he has some holes to fill. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Is-qm7GLnJY

Well I found that fascinating. Jason seems to have dodged a few school days by the sound of it. He does seem to be really interested in science and I thought he asked some pertinent questions.

I did giggle when he mentioned the aliens in Event Horizon as I watched those scenes through my fingers at the time.

I wonder who the character was he was offered in Dr Who I woulder if it was the Master.

Had to laugh at the girls leaving their Dad while he was on stage and the Sponge Bob story was hilarious.

So thank you Thunder for posting the link to this.

Yes I thought it was rather quiet.

By the way I have seen images of jason playing a piano and guitar. Does he actually play them?.

There is another science link in Jason’s public activities - he was at an event held at ESTEC in Noordwijk in the Netherlands, which is part of the European Space Agency. This was some time ago, but I remember reading about it here, with links to a Q&A video that included Jason. I think he was invited to take part because he was in Star Trek?

I found a link. Jason appears at 2 min 38 for about 2 min. The event is called Space Rocks 2018.

By the way I did not know Emma had connections to Jeeves and Wooster and Harry Enfield's Television Programme. Wow :woot

Nice report, Annie. He has daughters of course, and it's so like him to support girls' education.

The author chose some nice photos for the piece too. :D

I thought his advice on auditioning was perceptive and insightful for all budding actors; a really thoughtful approach to starting out.
