Bonnie Curtis, a Chum Producer, posted this info on the Chum Board.

THE REAL SCOOP: THE CHUMSCRUBBER isn't coming to LA and NY until August 26...we're opening August 5 in 9 cities: Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Orlando, Dallas, Austin, Phoenix and Sacramento...COME ONE, COME ALL AND MEET GENERATION Rx!!

How cool--but also how odd. Is it at all usual for a movie to open elsewhere--let alone so many elsewheres!--before it opens in NY/LA??

That's a rather unorthodox approach. I wonder why they did that?

Kind of odd. Perhaps they are trying to generate some good buzz before going to the 'tough" markets of LA/NY? Who knows???

Nice that they will be showing in 9 cities.

Ah, well. Not close enough for me to see it just yet anyway. Damn bigger places! I could always travel the 6 hours or so to Texas if I wanted to, but I don't know how much deranged fan I have in me to do that!

I limit my LA slogs to if I think Jason'll be there. Guess'll have to wait till Sun Diego makes the list.

More info to come.

OK Bonnie Kate - you are the writer in this group!

Char that all sounds terrific!!!!

You need to try and get one of those posters with the kid holding the head!!! Do you remember how we looked at each other and said - "What the hell did we get tickets to????"

Thanks! I think it's due to lack of 'other' Jason websites at the moment. That is why I seem to be getting all the 'Glory'.
