Sorry--a historical drama concerning machinations and maneuverings in the court of Spain's Philip II, erstwhile husband to England's Queen Mary Tudor and dispatcher of the ill-fated Armada. Velvet and ruffed collars. Unfortunately, it appeared only sporadically in theatres, and is tough to find even on DVD.

BTW, very cool snaps. Looks like they're practicing the fencing scene there. Either that or a form of Spanish martial arts. :D

I know, Gillian..it's from one of the Spanish blogs...Sorry I can't find it anymore. I think the owner is the one in the first photo. :oops:

The costumes from this film are exquisite. Every time I see them, I'm amazed at how sumptuous they are.

I agree, they must be rehearsing their fencing/dueling scene. Wish it was going to play in the U.S. :-(
