Another Spanish Video..Paging FC

A fencing Jason Isaacs--in tights, no less!! Sorry--a historical drama concerning machinations and maneuverings in the court of Spain's Philip II, erstwhile husband to England's Queen Mary Tudor and dispatcher of the ill-fated Armada. Velvet and ruffed collars. Unfortunately, it appeared only sporadically in theatres, and is tough to find even on DVD.

Post by Chari910 » Thu Jul 31, 2008 6:19 pm

Liliana, who has a master degree in journalism from Madrid was there when the shooting just started. She was able to be on the set and interviewed the Director. She wants to share this video...

There is one other video on her website showing her talking to other castmembers.

FC, is there anything new in these videos? Thanks again

Hola my friends
Ok here's the translation
L=Liliana A=Antonio del Real

L - Why did you wanted to turn this story into a motion picture?
A - I think we need to tell the world about the existence of this empire, and even though British schools don't teach anything about this, we should teach this to everybody. Spanish, Portuguese, Austrian, French, Italian, etc. Also I thought it was a very interesting story.

L - To Joaquin de Almeida, in what language did you speak to him?
A - In spanish, always in spanish. Joaquin has a perfect spanish, and he also knows a lot of other languages. I've worked with him before...in a comedy we did together...

L - 10 years ago right?
A - Yeah, in 1997s "Corazón Loco". We had a great time, it was very fun.

L - Why did you think Joaquin as Juan de Escobedo?
A - He is very Juan de Escobedo. He's a very passionate person. He has this moments of extreme passion, and Juan de Escobedo was like that. Also very vain and inexorable. He got upset even when the King made him wait.

L - Antonio, good luck with this project. Good luck with everything in the making of this movie in Portugal and the premiere too.

Nothing about Mr. Jason...pretty much the plot of the movie and Joaquin (or Joaquim?) de Almeida!

Adios chicas!
