Reply about Jason's Accent Comment in Cinema Blend Interview

Post by BethMI » Fri Mar 12, 2010 5:35 am

It's funny about what he was saying during the Interview about accents. Supposedly his American accent is supposed to be pretty flawless. He talks about how being around a bunch of American soldiers he was able to just pick up the accent and keep it. He also said that sometimes in a cab his wife will lean over and tell him to stop it (the accent) because he'll pick up the accent of the driver.

Although I don't do it for long periods of time, that happens to me on a much smaller scale. It's funny. I went to visit some friends in the "South", and when I came back I ended up talking like that for a couple days. Sometimes it wouldn't be everything, but it kept creeping in. Plus I know that "British" accent is something that I have to watch out for because if I watch too many accented movies or shows, I end up talking like that. If I sing a song (which I enjoy singing) that has some inflection of accent, my voice automatically switches to it.

I guess what I'm saying overall is that I'm glad I'm not the only "weird" one that seems to do that. LOL.

More Jason Isaacs You Tube Green Zone Interviews

Post by BethMI » Fri Mar 12, 2010 5:56 am

When I went to this You Tube link there were a few more links to gofobo and other Jason Interviews on the side. The link below gave me a 4 minute interview. There was a link to an almost 7 minute interview (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wR7qRawZJ34) there that I've posted the link here. Most of the near 7 minute interview isn't a repeat of the other link below either. So that is great. I didn't know if we are just supposed to post all the links here on the boards (even if some might be repeats) or not.

It looks like the user Gofobo also has several other Green Zone Interviews, and there were some other Jason items in the related items recommendations section.

listening to Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo this am, Jason talked
about GZ, Skeletons, being in LA for wardrobe fitting for Pleading
Guilty...most about filming GZ....good news for us fans, his role is more substantial than he first stated...Both Mayo and Kermode called him on this and he said, he wasn't sure how the editing would be...
in the credits of the movie, he's listed as "AND JASON ISAACS"...claiming he wasn't there for the beginning of filming, so that was how he was
listed....

This is a new long radio interview.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006wqr1

JI's interview starts at about 2:05,40. He talks about a lot of things, not only Green Zone. And he picks the music too.

What he said about Lucius got me a bit worried...
