This pilot for a Fox television series, based on the novel by Scott Turow, was tragically not selected for production. Bastards.

May 17th is when the FOX Execs will review all the pilots and decide which ones to keep.
I have all the confidence in the creative team, not to mention Jason.
They are having some disagreements on the score/songs to use in the episode.

The
music?!?!? They're bitching about the bloody
music???
Give it the damn green light and
then complain about the freakin' music for pity's sake.

And who cares about the music?
All I want is to see JI on tv.

Well, I think they will arrive at some decent conclusions before May 17! I think if I, A SILLY SENILE OLD LADY. can make half-way decent choices of music for my videos on the tube, those people who get paid the big bucks will be able to arrive at SOME good choices! I have to sit down and think of a good spell to cast on those idiots!

As long as it is nothing worse than disagreeing on the music, it must be pretty good

Shows have to pay big money in royalties for music on TV shows. It is also considered an important part of the viewing experience. The right music can really set the right mood and enhance our enjoyment.
Take Passionada for example. Other than the great Fado music - the background music was for the most part very forgetable. It's a movie that I really like but I think they could have done much better on the score. Contrast that with the music on HP or The Patriot. (Of course their budgets were much larger!)
It may not be what you think of first but music is as important as good casting, script, directing, costumes, sets, etc.
I want them to get it right (and pick the show up!!!!!)

It may have more to do with creative disagreements than budget, Marie. At least that's what I'm thinking.

Yes, it was the first time the creative team disagreed about something.
"people are passionate about their music" per Hart Hanson.

I love Fado but I was born in New Bedford so heard a lot of it growing up.
Yes I figured it was creative differences rather than budget still a lot of people don't realize that music might not be free.
I am so currious as to what the creative differences are?????

I bought the CD of the music. The background music is really beautiful when you listen to it and not concentrate on the movie. Really.
