I'm halfway thru (had to stop last night to play dominos) and I must say it's a bit weird.
Will have to watch at least twice to understand it. But Jason is cute.

received my copy today, and just finished watching it...I think it's a great movie and very refreshing :woot

had to increase the volume to understand "The Colonel", and as to his deleted scene, fruitbat is correct, I could only pick out a few words....enjoyed the Colonels deleted scene, with no dialogue, I was
hysterical (always calibrating my equipment)...LOL

I really liked this movie, maybe, being a paranormal investigator helped me to understand it a bit more, but it has really nothing to do with dead people...in fact, the one character does comment, this only works with the living, not the dead....

will definitely be watching it again....

LOL, Hilary, that was indeed an interesting dinner :)

Damn. I'd really want to buy it but if all of you say it's hard to understand then for me as a non- native speaker it's maybe impossible :D

It's not impossible, Lisabella. My first language is Norwegian, and I understood him, even if I had to focus a bit more than usual, and turn the volume up. First time I watched it, I understood what he meant, but not exactly what the said in a couple of places. Especially when he was angry, because the "throat-talking" got more extreme then, and the words almost disappeared in the hissing. I was able to pick up more details from the dialog when I played his scenes again, but I could follow the film easily the first time. It took more effort than usual, but it wasn't impossible.

But I understand English almost as well as I understand Norwegian, so If you have trouble understanding the dialog other films he is in without subtitles, it can be difficult to understand everything he is saying in this.

to me, it's a few of the references in the the dialogue...as Jason stated,
the film is very British....

as to understanding, as thunder stated, its easy to follow the plot, and a few
viewings are required....

@ thunder

I understand english quite well. I mean I usually understand nearly everything spoken. Had quite good teachers at school^^. So if you say it works, it would also be fine for me.
But I guess I wait a little longer have to buy so many books this month for university... (a.o. a grammar book for 70 euros :D And I'd prefer to buy a pair of lovely high heels instead ^^)
So skeletons maybe next month^^

You'll be all right watching Skeletons, Lisabella. (They speak English in it after all...)

70 Euros for a school book  I wonder why school books always are the most expensive books. Probably because people have to buy them anyway...

At school my parents had to buy them now I'm on my own:D

I treated myself in town today £12.99 from HMV! If they are half price in a couple of weeks time I won't be happy. There is nothing on TV tonight so I am off to watch it and hope I enjoy it as much as everyone else has
