Only the thumbnails, Char. I can't afford a Rex account and how much they charge per pic. ;-)

Excellent interview. I was wondering about whether the cigarettes were real or herbal. Must have been difficult to stop after the production ceased. It's a hard habit to break.

Thanks for the excellent interview, Thunder.

I don't see where smoking was essential to the story line. There was no reference to him smoking in the books or as far as I can see in the script.
The workers on the set did him a disservice by asking him not to use the herbal cigarettes. It's so hard to stop once you get started.

Jason was on Five Live today with Richard Bacon at Wimbledon, following Wittertainment. Although you had to wait for two hours before he came on.

Here's a pic I took of Jason saying farewell, just prior to his departure.

Couldn't get any clearer as there was a glass wall between the two booths. At one stage I texted Richard Bacon to ask the other person in the booth with them to sit back as he had his back to the glass wall, completely blocking the camera LOL. Don't know if it worked, but he moved soon after.

You can download the podcast from the Five Live website for 30 days.

Thanks, Carole - you had to be fast on the keys didn't you to get that!

Am just listening to the Mayo/Kermode podcast - which does have a long preamble (not broadcast) about Jason abandoning them (next year they'll just have to broadcast live from Wimbledon!)

Glad that Jason cleared up the question of whether he wore a wig for Jackson Brodie ("No, but I did wear a chest wig for Civvies.")

Thanks for the picture. He does seem to enjoy all these extras. I think he'll miss all this when he gets to the States.

You're all very welcome. I'm always happy to help out where I can. I'll look forward to the rest of the Kermode and Mayo podcast when I download it in the morning, as well as the Richard Bacon one.

It was a great interview, even if I had to wade through 2 hours of boring tennis commentating to get there LOL.

I can't get the pic to post. Not sure what's happened to it. I'm now getting the pizza box of death and not sure why.

Oh well, it's 2.30am and I need some sleep. I'll work on it later in the day. :-|

Carole, I'm still able to see the pic. Must be that your computer, like you, was tired. ;-)

Thanks for sharing the link and picture!
(it sounded like he was more interested in talking about tennis than his work, :lol)

Jason stated he didn't appear on the Kermode/Mayo programme, because they talk about movies,
and Case Histories is for telly...he apologizes

he also talks about the BBC can't measure how many people watch Case Histories on iPlayer,
which he doesn't understand....stating the DVD and Blu ray come out on Monday....

really liked the interview with Richard Bacon...Jason was very relaxed and candid...wanting to stay
and watch the tennis after the interview...luvs how tennis is all about strategy and then executing your strategy....

he is wearing a dead cat on his chest for Civvies...LOL

Of course he could have gone on Kermode and Mayo and talked about Cars 2 (though probably not!)
