What are the odds (for TSG to be picked up)?

Jason Isaacs landed the lead in this new American series from CBS. The pilot wasn't picked up.

Well, it seems that CBS has announced the fall schedule (?):

http://www.deadline.com/2013/05/cbs-201 ... ore-499885

There seem to be a couple shows that aren't on there, but are supposed to be somewhere in their line-up. I don't know if this is official or not...I can't tell...so maybe this is just a guess by the writer?

LadySek,

Rod Luri tweeted:
Ah, SURGEONGENERAL, which I directed for CBS, didn't get picked up. But network and studio were super supportive and cool. Stuff happens.
No mention of saving if for winter 2014.

Unfortunately Surgeon General didn't make it for the next season. Shame.

Yeah... I just saw it now (@ my lunch break) on twitter. Too bad :^< , but it's not entirely a surprise, I suppose. They didn't have very many spots for new dramas. Once more into the breach!

I'm not surprised either, and not too upset. JI will be offered something else, I'm sure.

After these dissapointments I hope he does not give up on American TV. But I could hardly blame him if he did.

yes, he WILL find a job, and we all wish for him, it will be the job that will make and keep him happy for several years, if not more. But lets face it, he looked VERY nice in that uniform, (and I'm really not especially fond of uniforms). Did anyone look at the insignia? It was a Caduseus, then with a staff near there, with 2 'Slytherene" snakes on a totally seperate staff, it had Lucius Malfoy ALL over the insignia- really funny! :lol , ln

Sad to see that it wasn't picked up, but I'm sure he will find something else. Since he relocated his family here, I don't see him giving up on American Television all that soon. He seems to be in demand for being offered projects. Hopefully the right one will find him that the execs like too.

Oh, and I've always wished that there was a place to watch unaired pilots. It would be great to see these shows ... even if it is just the once. We never got to see anything for Pleading Guilty either.

How about a guest role on How I Met Your Mother? Wouldn't that be a treat? :adore :wheee

hmmm (she thoughtfully dreams) what if....what if they pick a channel and just play a Jason-a-thon? All the episodes he's done cameos on? West Wing, Sex in the City, Entourage, plus ALL of his pilots and movies that he's done, whether the've been picked up or not. They could call it JI week, stuff he's done ALL OVER THE WORLD that everyone in EVERY REGION could see without being blocked "we are the world". That'd be cool  ...LN

What Sex in the City episode was he in? I've watched almost all of them several times (and the movies) and I can't remember seeing him, but perhaps that was just because Mr. Big had my full attention.

He hasn't been in Sex in the CIty as far as I know. (Never watched it either, though...)

I shall attempt to verify with my scouts (children), who know me too well to lie about something like that. I was folding THEIR laundry, while hey sat on their duffs watching TV, and yelled for me to come down; which apparently I didn't do fast enough apparently. I was TOLD that Jason had been on Sex in the City. Of course, my kids COULD have been lying, but the penalties are severe (they loose doors: bedroom, bathroom-they DON'T lie to me). They may not LIKE Jason, but they certainly recognize his face and voice. So I'll check again and get back to ya! LN :bag:
