Here's a review from someone who saw it at Nashville Film Festival. He basically just go through everything that happens in the movie, so beware of SPOILERS:

Great review! I really hope it gets picked up by the theaters (sometime within this century). ~ellen

Here are two more reviews:

So they both think it's OK, I guess. Hope to see it, of not in the cinema, at least on DVD.

The younger players are adequate, and “star” casting helps in some other instances. Jason Isaacs is a properly droll General Breckinridge, the former vice president who took up arms for the Confederacy.
2/4“Soul Surfer” director Sean McNamara may not have had the budget to deliver the scope and sheen of a Technicolor epic. This is no “Red Badge of Courage,” more a small scale “Gettysburg.” But he and his cast serve up enough lump-in-the-throat moments to ensure “Field of Lost Shoes” will play at least go over in Daughters of the Confederacy meetings from this day forward, especially in the Old Dominion.

3/5It’s a feature film that feels like a standard TV or educational documentary. It rings true at times but its no-offense nature presumably intended to secure a mainstream audience, robs it of its potential power.

I haven't seen any super-reviews so far. Looks like most of the think it's just OK.

Re: Reviews
Another review, and this one is not positive:

Looks like a lot of reviewers thinks it's lacking historical accuracy, and that why they have problems with it,

It was available from Amazon Prime for rent or purchase on Saturday. I procrastinated and now it's taken off!

I watched this today and had little to no exectations but I found moving at times. I gather there was little in the way of abudget but I felt they did the best with little in the way of resources, I did not recognise any of the younger cast but the actor who played The Judge was familiar.
Jason as always was amazing and I think he brought such a humanity to his role, oddly he felt older and much more world weary than many of the characters he plays.
The scene where he is sat with the cadets around the camp fire was wonderful and deeply moving.
Others will be able to ascertain the acuracy of the facts of the movie/real life battle.
I would not put this in the top drawer projects of Jasons but I enjoyed it.
