A Monster Calls: Audio book

Post by kjshd05 » Tue May 03, 2011 6:33 am

saw a tweet on twitter:

Patrick_Ness Patrick Ness
Tomorrow I record the Authors' note for the A Monster Calls audiobook. Then the excellent Jason Isaacs (aka Lucius Malfoy) does the rest.

Posted yesterday...I have not been able to verify this....

here is a synopsis of the book:

Thanks Kim. looking forward to listening to this.

Here's the author's website:

It's publication week for A Monster Calls! Yep, that's right, it's out in the UK on Thursday, so keep an eye out and let me know what you think.

In cool audiobook news, I'm heading into the studio in the morning to record the authors' note, but the rest of the book will be read by a proper actor, thank god. Even cooler, it's Jason Isaacs, Lucius Malfoy from the Harry Potter films, who I think is just perfect for this. And I get to meet him. Nifty.

I finished listening to this today. Very emotional story, and JI does an amazing job reading it (but I don't really have tell you that, do I...? ;-) ) The audio book also came with an interview between Jason Isaacs and Patrick Ness. (JI interviewing PN).
