This is probably the same clip we could download, but in case someone isn't on Facebook or Twitter(or hasn't gotten around to it, like me...):

I'm a Huge James Bond fan, so this gig is SWEET for me!! LOL Jason and James Bond :woot

Many of these early books were written in the 50's and 60's, so its interesting to see how much society has changed!!

I loved the books. Oh, they are totally Cold War era-centric, and you definitely have to keep that in mind while reading them. I was always disappointed in the Sean Connery and Roger Moore interpretations of JB. (*runs from the flying rotting veggies and fruit being thrown at her*) I adore Daniel Craig's interpretation, because I think that his is much closer to the original books' visions (but that is just my take on it).

I saw many of the SC movies in the theater - my Dad adored them. I must agree DC has the best interpretation so far (IMHO!). I was pleasantly surprised.

I think the different audio versions read by different actors will be interesting - I look forward to hearing Thunderball.

Ugh.. are these out yet... The wait is killing me. Also, if I play "A Monster Calls" one more time through my belly band, pretty sure the kid is just going to force its way out and change the book himself.. ha.

:lol They are coming out early in Sept. I think. So your baby needs to hang in a bit more.
But you can always put on a bit of Case Histories...?

My worry is that they are just going to be sold through the UK version of the site, which is what happened for the audio book download by Conn Iggulden (Wolf of the Plains) from that site. I had to buy the actual CDs off Amazon.uk instead. I may have done the search wrong on the US version of the website, so a second pair of eyes would be great! :^) I would be more than happy for someone to inform that I am wrong! :^)

Kissinabox- he also read the Kate Atkinson books. They are very good. I haven't listened to the Iggulden book yet (I'm saving it- I don't know for what though...just for one of "those days," I guess). I've actually picked up the actual book (print form) a few times because it looks intriguing (the "birth"of Genghis Khan).

I had signed up to the UK version of the site's newsletter. They had a link for the purchase of them pre-ordered because they have a contest going on to win a signed copy of the "book" by the reader. I tried to order the downloadable version and the physical copy version on the UK site, and it says that they can't do that for someone in the US. Now, it does suggest that you can have it delivered to someone in the UK as the shipping address to try to get around that as it were. At least that was what I got from it based on one of the things I found.

So ... any Lost Girl willing to let me have my package shipped to you so that this US customer can actually pre-order Jason's (and possible Tennant and Brannagh's) versions of these?

~BethMI (loves the US, but wishes she could still buy UK items)

P.S. According to the UK site version, the reason why US customers can't have them shipped to the US is because the company doesn't have the permission to ship to the US for that title or item.

Oh and the link for the Pre-order for anyone that wants it http://audiogo.us4.list-manage.com/trac ... 5b9e87de48

If you are in the UK (or even some other parts of Europe) you can use that link to buy it directly for the pre-order. For the US customers (using the UK site), see my last post above.

I think that it might have to do with copyright and/or international distribution laws.

I have a good friend who lives both in London and here, so I might work the "ol' sad puppy dog eyes" look at him around Thanksgiving before he goes home to London for Christmas. I have no shame. :D
