It's an experimental documentary about the life of the writer George Eliot. Jason is one of the narrators. Picture in the article.

Here's a review of the programme. From what I understand, it's not just voice work, Jason is in it, reading and performing as well. Hope it becomes available outside the UK sooner or later.
The presence of two professional actors, Jason Isaacs and Sheila Atim (pictured below), does little to detract from this, placing them apart from the vox pop but in informal settings. They appear in woods, against odd walls, and in a recording studio, playing against one another through Eliot’s letters and books.

I missed this - I shall quickly rush to watch it on BBC iPlayer!

Thanks for letting us know - I missed this when checking out BBC4 shows for the day of transmission.

Review:

It was very arty-farty. Much depends on whether you like George Eliot or not - personally I find her rather turgid, although I have enjoyed TV adaptations of her stories. The programme is a weird combination: there are people reading bits of random GE from various works, and some people then relating GE's words or her life to their own experiences. There is quite a bit about GE's life story, and we see her various homes (one is now a hotel, so you can stay there, although it doesn't look much like it did in GE's day) and photos of her long-term partner and husband (whom she married after partner died, before dying herself after not very long). There are readings from GE's letters and also letters about or to her, including from her brother who disapproved of her lifestyle, living with a man to whom she was not married (he could not get a divorce).

Jason and Sheila do a lot of the random readings. Then they sometimes seem to be pretending to be GE & partner. Jason looks very well in this - we see a few close-ups of those eyes. He has also allowed his hair to grey slightly in this, which I personally prefer to the black dye. Jason does the readings very well of course, using a fairly neutral RP accent. He is wearing ordinary clothes, not period costume.

I was rather bored by a lot of it, but watched to the end to see our man. Jason's appearances are spread rather thinly throughout.
