Discovery season 2

Post by thunder » Sat Feb 09, 2019 6:34 am

I was just wondering if any of you are watching? I haven't had time to look into it yet. Half term is the week after next week, and since I'm not going away somewhere this year, I was thinking about catching up with this.

No spoilers, please... but what do you think so far? Is it worth watching?

I haven't steeled myself to watch it without Capt. Lorca. I guess that makes me a spoiled child. :bawl I'll grow up eventually.

That's why I haven't seen it either, Helen. I just thought maybe I'll check it out... when I find time.
And I was curious if it's worth watching without Lorca.

That's what my thinking is, thunder. I am interested in many of the characters and how they continue to develop . . . but . . . I want Jason on my TV . . . every week. :rave

I have started to watch it. This series seems so far to be much more traditional-style Star Trek than series 1. It’s especially so with Captain Pike in it. I am enjoying it so far as the characters develop.

Maybe next vacation... I'm focusing on The OA for the moment.

Eventually arrived last night. I finally set aside my "no Jason; no watch" childishness. Got through ep. 3.We're really enjoying it.

Just finished through season 8. I'm pissed that, 70 years later, women are not playing the Talosians. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. :finger:

Also, this season they're really overdoing it with the light flashes. They are incredibly distracting.
