Just dropping by to complain that I have to work today.
Okay, only for five hours, for which I will get a full regular day's (7 1/4 hours) credit.
Ok, I didn't have to start until 1 o'clock and was able to watch all of Corrie this morning.
Okay, I
volunteered.
I'm just sayin' is all.
I do believe this is my first ever post on the bitch box.

The last 15 years of my working life I worked, nights and weekends. The best shift going. No supervisors to bug you. A small crew so there wasn't a lot of people around and no mass confusion.
Extra pay for working nights and Sundays. I wouldn't have wanted to work anything else.

LOL Helen! I wouldn't either. I myself am a day time person.

I don't know how folks can work at night - but I guess they get used to it.
I have 2 sister-in-laws that are nurses and they had to work very long hours and night shifts. Both are very happy to now have day jobs. One works as a nurse going to folks homes - the other a surgical nurse for an out patient surgery center.

I guess I'm spoiled in a way. I haven't worked on weekend since I had a job when I went to school.
Never worked nights, even that might have been right for me, I am often having a hard time making myself di to bed and sleep at night.

The upside to working on the weekend is the day off in lieu that I get during the week. The glorious feeling of playing hookey but no guilt.
